Adding another aro will make a llittle or no difference to the level of aggression in the tank as its just one more fish in your 7 footer. Aro comms always start out out as World war II before it gradually settles down in time as they get bigger- Even when they are adults expect squabbles and a few torn fins, but nothing major- to summarise it will get worse before it gets better- If you want to add another aro for what its worth ,get a green or two.

The more, the better, when you already have 6 in the tank... Just had your light off the first couple day when you introduce the new one in the tank. If you have only one in the tank, I would say no to adding another one, but of course, that's not your case. Important thing is to make sure TO POST A PICTURE OF YOUR TANK.. My hat is off to you balla... I can only dream of such tank

i think i was lucky at 1st as their was no fighting at all its only over the last 2 days they have been at war

it seams the one who was alpha has been pushed out of his corner and is now in the other aro territory so they are beating him up when he has to go on to their turf

the strange thing is the aro that has taken the throne and is new king is the smallest of the lot

very intresting to watch but scary when their is so much money involved

tank size is 84inch long x 32inch wide x 30inch deep

i may up grade to 36inch deep as im finding that aros like to swim at diffrent levels when in a com

anyway i thought you was ment to pack the aros in to make it work thats why im thinking of adding another aro because they are holding territories as the tank is to big right now for only 6 x 12inch aros

i have seen people pack 8 x adult asian aros into a 6x2x2ft

im new to aro com with only 4 months experiance so any help is welcome
It's true... If you give them more room, they'll fight more... When you "pack" them, they don't know which one should they pick a fight, thus, they're all swimming around, maybe taunting and sizing, but not attacking each other

If they're not much difference inside, the smaller one tend to have the advantage of turning in small place, so yes he can attacking the bigger one without getting attack back. Besides, they tend to mellow down when they grow older (who wouldn't).. Like I said, I envy you, so please stop rubbing... Just kidding...:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

To tell the truth i am very very happy with the com i just dont want it to go wrong

this is something i found:
to avoid aggression in aro comm tanks
remove all the fish from the tank
rearrange the tank if there is any decor if there is none add some to bring out change in the surroundings, new surroundings then no established territory
but if you want to add another one, you will have to get a bigger and if possible a little aggressive too then it might work
in the end as we know it all depends on the traits of the new fish
