What I was saying is you need to network with local breeders and look more local. Your probably gonna want to look less online because you probably won't find as much. If you know the right people you can get better fish.
Male was an import and got ib luckily as a small fry i hear. Thus he wont sell that male for anything less than $800
Sorry if I did act like I know everything, but I do want to learn to know everything, and I do use my brain to read another questionable statement, Australia ban FH imports, and your seller has an IMPORTED male, and won't sell it for less than $800???? I hope you should read really careful to Christ's advice and not being taking advantage of, another word, use your brain too.
You will also see i wrote some imports did get lucky at customs. 90% of aus imports are old...not new..thus when they breed imports and some fry have import quality...breeders sell ONLY those ones for high prices.
Off course we can get cheaper fh...but they are nothing fantastic... by looking at my fish and generalizing the availability of fh in Australia is wrong. I have looked for months and spent more than most willing to do too acquire my fh..
i have breeders in australia who still contact me to buy my red dragon for $900 and my kml for over $1k.
its easy to get cheap fh here...expensive to get high quality.

You have your male and one female currently right? So if you buy her you will have 1 male and 2 females right?

Some time last month. That rd is actually an Australia hall of famer... however...no one should generalize the quality and availability of fh in Australia by looking at my fish.... none of these are local lol
