I finally got what I consider a big tank. After looking for several years off and on I picked up a 5'x3'x27 250 gallon off CL. The tank needs a stand and some tlc. I may have overpaid a bit for it at $400 but t I really like the footprint. I now have more project tank gallons(925) than I have running(885). The boss (aka my wife) was not very happy, and I blew the money I had set aside for the glass and epoxy for my plywood, but I couldn't resist.

Any ideas on what's gonna go in it?
Maybe an umbee, mota pair, or dovii growout(lost mine 2 weeks ago yesterday).

Nice looking tank, looks well worth the $400 paid.
I really like the width, and $400 is about a $1 per pound. This sob is heavy! It holds water, but the inner seal is a little suspect.

Nice footprint.

Nice pickup. Looks like a marineland DD 250.
It is, built in 08.

Since you have it empty I would strongly suggest redoing the internal seals to ensure longevity. Would cost much to do and would give you peace of mind.

Great dimensions!
That is the plan, I wanted to fill it and let it sit for a bit just to make sure it does not need to be completely redone. I think someone got overzealous with some sort of cleaner at some point in the past. Some of the silicone has pulled away from the glass.
