Adding Water with a Garden Hose?

I just run my hose... add another 300watt heater to make up for the cold flow from it. I Just take shots at how much water i drain out or put in... and after a min i add some Con in it... I'm always over or under but I've been doing this for a year and no one has died from what "I" have done. Im trying to talk my dad into installing a water tank right out the back door... maybe 120g tower. and just so something like u said.
No reason to not add the declor then just fill with a python hose hooked to the sink lots of people do it that way
I use the garden hose to fill mine up. I take the shower head off, connect and walla instant fill and steady temp!
I use a hose to fill all my tanks, I add the conditioner as the water is filling, never had a problem. The temp of the water here is fine out of the outside faucet in the summer, but winter the water is too cold, so I hooked it up to the faucets for the washer machine, I have the hot and cold hoses runing into a spliter so they both come out of a single hose, this alowes me to set the temp where i want it.
