any recomendation for other pleco tankmates for adonis?

Just about any pleco will work with and adonis, assuming yours isn't insane. Just do what you would for any pleco tank with numerous males.

Not sure. Haven't gotten a good view of papila. By odontal growth it does appear to be female though.

she'll look good when bigger. i found females tend to keep the colour better than males in some cases.

Yeah, I'm hoping, but then Adonis in general tend to lose there spots quite a bit when they get big regardless of sex. On a good note mine is covered in spots for its size.

i think they look great when they are jet black though. and monster of course

Thats the a. hystrix or p. hystrix that looks like that. The A. adonis will still have some dots, not many but some.

they usually only keep them on the fins

The large adonis I have seen always have the spots on the head still.
