Just adopted a bearded dragon from a friend. I am not sure how well he was taken care of before he came here. he has been here for 5 days and has not pooped. His skin is very wrinkled. He is not eating any veggies and has only had a few crickets. The temperature is right and I have been spritzing him with water and gave him a bath today to try to get him to poop. Should I be concerned about his skin and lack of pooping and lack of eating?

Any and all recommendations would be appreciated,
Thanks in advance

When mine was about that age he would go for weeks without going potty. He will go just give him time.

Hey guys, this thread was started by my wife. If she got pics of the dragon would it help to determine if he is just wrinkled or thin? Or would that be hard to tell in a pic?

Easy answer is to look up google pictures of bearded dragons and you will quickly see what yours should look like.
Not pooping is an adaptation to a desert environment, but he needs access to fresh water at all times. If he is active, and alert, then he's OK.

He does not seem to be active. He just lays completely flat in the same spot under his lamp. When I pick him up he doesn't even seem to notice.

Is his head up? It's ok if the belly is laying there but if the head is down that is not good. They should also definitely at least notice when you pick it up.

We have only been able to get him to eat a few crickets and he won't eat any greens or veggies. Even though he is an adult, is it OK to keep him on crickets so that he is at least eating something?

He should be eating crickets and also a variety of fruits/vegetables should be available to him. Post some pics of him on here if you get a chance. It would make it easier to tell what your talking about when you say he looks wrinkled. If he's not lifting his head it seems like something could be wrong though and it might be good to find a vet near by that deals with reptiles
