Adopted 4 year old bearded dragon

wife here -
He always has fresh greens and veggies available as well as water but he wont eat. He wont eat crickets either now. He is looking a little more alert and less wrinkled since I started spritzing him more often, gave him a bath, and gave him fluid with a dropper. He still hasn't pooped. still lays flat with head down most of the time in terrarium.

He's fine and good colors, if he goes and basks and has eaten a couple crickets he is fine. Beardies are extremely hearty lizards! He is just a little skinny, when you look at his hind leg joints you can tell, try some mealworms and make sure the crickets and or worms are dusted with a quality supplement like Repashy bearded dragon formula, it is great stuff and you don't need to supplement anything else.

Also when you have a dish of food for him weather it be mealworms or a salad try kind of moving it by his head so it gets his attention and he will be more likely to take a chomp. I'm sure he is just acclimating ATM just like fish or any other animal does.

He is fine - make sure you actually measure the temp to make sure it IS warm enough - when lizards are cold, they won't move, and stay flat where it's warmest. But he looks fine, and his eating crickets is good.

That tank is about 1/4 the size it should be - I hope you have plans for a MUCH LARGER environment.

We just got him thursday from a coworker who was going to kill him. This is the set up he came in. Will be upgrading.

I have been looking for a larger terrarium for him. However, all I can seem to find are 36x18x16 (ish). Does anyone have any suggestions of where to get a longer/larger terrarium?

You could probably save a lot of money (just guessing here) by getting an aquarium at petco when they have their $1 per gallon sale and then doing a bit of DIY to customize it as a terrarium. You can get a 40g breeder for $40. I don't know if that would be large enough for life, but that is a great deal.

I don't think anyone has mentioned brumation yet but that's also a possibility at this time of year..my beardie is acting similar to yours but that's the reason in his case.
