Adopted Big RTC not eating well, any Ideas ???

He finally ate !!!! I was cooking hot dogs on the grill and threw one in and he showed an instant interest. Sucked it in spit it out a few times and finally inhaled it for good. I'm not gonna feed him again for a day or so and gradually up his feedings. Just to make sure I threw a small shrimp in there also and he sucked it up quickly. Just like a switch...... one day no food the next he's ready to eat anything :screwy: Over 5 weeks with barely any food.


I'm pretty happy right now :D


OH YEA......... I bought another 2" RTC today......I just had to have him, he's sooooooo cute :screwy:

lol, probably a good thing they don't have them around here. I'd buy them all up like the tsn that they do sell. I end up getting all the catfish that are availible here lol. Good luck with the big boy and the baby!
 
I'm goin through the same thing right now! My rtc is 31 inch and movedhim to a 400 gal tank about 3 weeks ago, heate a little at first but not like he normally would- like a pig! I also have a 20 inch tsn I moved around the same time and he's happyas eatin more than iv ever seen him. Now by the sounds of things il jus have to playthewaitin game like u guys- good to know im not alone onthis one. Can't wait till he gets his appetite back now, he's still looks healthy as and bein very active, but i jus wanna c him doin that with a nice full gut again! Ha

Whenever anyone says this I always ask for the actual test results.
 
Mine ate today yay, only about 6 peeled prawns though, il leave him tomorrow, and hopefully hel be back to normal soon- I'm sick of takin out uneatin food! I have to offer it to him though so the choice is always there. Sux waitin.....

Not to me, I wasn't so worried after readin this, he's all good now, eatin more an more everyday.
