Miguel.... I've never had an issue with you....I'm fine with differences in opinion and never said I could not accept otherwise...This is why I care not to get into a pissing match with you and really never have. There is really nothing about you I feel is bad, unethical or wrong in any way. You have good points on this particular subject. I really do not deny this. I only substantially disagree in application.
I'm really not a disagreeable individual and I prefer to not be one..I will not however allow myself to be attacked and will respond when this occurs when needed. I'm perfectly fine in not going in this direction and just sticking to Fish or things of mutual interest on a decent and civil basis..I'm sure I can get some info from you and you could glean some from me. Subjects we disagree ...sure lets just disagree..we can have a good debate about it I see no reason to take it personally or to a personal level.
Just a question, what do you do with a fish this size after they have died??? I have a hard enough time disposing of a 12" fish...

I have always, and only, stated that good sense should command that the "average and even above average fishkeeper " ( and by that I mean the availability of requisite conditions such as space ) should not keep them ( this does not mean that it should be illegal, ok? )
I made the mistake of buying two small ones, that are growing at an unbelievable pace ( which I understand is a "normal growth pace " ).
Now I have no special problem with it, since I have big lakes in the farm ( and I mean big ) and Portugal is warmer than their natural habitat.
But this mere fact does not justify or render adequate the owning of such monsters, and I will release them as an alternative to having to euthanize them in the long range..
So it is, in a certain way, a "loose/loose" situation, in the end.
And, after 33 years of fish keeping, active fish keeping, this is one of the biggest "mistakes in judgement" that I made.
