The thing is that, mine loves the sinking pellets so much that he almost left nothing for the Clown knife to eat, and he's not even bothered with the floating pellets.

IDK about the nutritional value of the sinking pellets here, you know the normal ones, i suggest you buy the branded one like hikari and stuff.

gold fish have tooo much fat content and thus they are a bad choice as feeders(this i read on MFK and i am just repeating it)
super worms too have high fat content so once in a while is a good diet and treat
feeders are a pain in the keister(quarantining them, feeding them, maintaining their tank, and usually feeders are in bad condition so most of the time they have to nursed back to good health before feeding them to your fish)
pellets contain the right amount of nutrients thus providing a well balanced diet to your fish
pellets are cheaper when compared with other types of food
and once your fish eats pellets its no trouble at all to feed other types of food
and pellets can be bought in large quantities thus saves a little bit of money too :D

hikari food sticks were amazing for my silver wen he was smaller...he bulked up and had beautiful colour with no disease! but hes like 24'' atm and eats WAYYYY too much hikari which almost makes me brokeass! so i feed him dead fish from market now...so much cheaper and very safe! just be sure to defrost properly ;) hes great...really bulked out. nothing beats meaty food!

I'm currently feeding mine hikari cichlid gold, Maybe you can try that, it has almost the same composition as hikari carnivore pellets. also i noticed my aros seem to like those.
you can get them at bio research.

aros eating pellets is every fishkeeper's dream!

yup, all of my fishes: arowana, CK and alligator gar. All are eating pellets, especially the alligator gar which just automatically ate the pellets without the starving process. He doesn't left any pellets on the floor, and goes crazy for the pellets when he smells them :D, though he leaves a lot of poop on the floor :).

Thx for the advice :), I'll try to buy some hikari food sticks for aros one of these days, if there's :D.

Add market shrimp to the diet along with the pellets. Just your plan old shrimp from the store that you might eat, just remove the head and pinchers, and good idea to remove the shell (even though it has alot or nutriets) your aro might not eat it with shell on. Also don't cook it. Shrimp helps to bring out the reds in fish, does awesome on my petsmart Midas/RD.

All my silver will eat is omega one pellets. I have tried to treat him with crickets and market shrimp, but he's only into the pellets. This is just fine with me as pellets are the best way to go. I guess I am living every aro keeper's dream.
