Ziss aqua breeding boxes seem to be really well made although a bit pricey. if you plan to buy one get the one with 3 or 2 screens instead of the one with only one screen.
I just recommend any cheap bootleg one off amazon or something

The Marina Breeding Box hangs on the outside but water is flowing through from the main aquarium constantly.

There are breeder boxes that are made of mesh so there's no way out. Are you trying to keep the fry to sell, give away or keep for yourself? Another tank just for fry would be nice. But if you don't have an extra tank the mesh breeder box would be perfect. The others who responded had some nice looking breeder boxes as well. GL

With cichlids the mesh boxes almost always result
In the parents crushing the free trying to free them. I’ll be perfectly blunt- give these fish a couple more tries but if they can’t raise a spawn in there own- they don’t need to be making fry and the fry don’t need to be getting out to anyone. If they’ve lost a behavior so fundamental to their makeup and character, you need to find new ones from a different line that is more “real” HRPs, Convicts etc that can’t parent are defective- I get that it is a high pressure community tank but they should Be raising 10-12 each spawn if the tank is reasonable. Either way. If they’re doing a good job but there’s jus too much predation/ attrition that marina box works.

Thank you everyone for the replies and suggestions for breeder boxes I am going to let them give it a couple more try’s. Before I intervene They have wrigglers now so hopefully I can get them to last. My end goal is to take the fry in to LFS from Orlando to Daytona beach. We shall see what happens I guess
