thanks guys,so now we have established its a he can any one tell me what type of carpintis i have.

Not really...its a crap shoot and youl get 20 different answers on that. There seem to be 4 main variants available in the hobby in the US, as well as the one that some just call carpintis.

Lahillas
Escondido
Chairel
Vontehillo

a rarer one called 'Rio Salto' I beleive, that aqua mojo has..and then hybrids of all of them or mixed with cyanoguttatus as well.

Yours looks 100% carpintis though..and being in the UK, I think Don Conkel exports more to there than anyone else, so its a good chance its a lahillas, vontehillo , chairel or a combo of any of them.

Just search MFK for those variants and look at pics of them and decide for yourself. You have just as good a guess as anyone else.

like a buddy of mine says maybe they just get horny sometimes and want to breed I have a male thats a solid 10" and every once in a while he will get in breeding dress and get an attitude towards me ramming his tank as if he were protecting fry but hes by himself so maybe this is just normal behavior????? I dont know :nilly::nilly::nilly:
