Thanks for the advice all, but i ended up getting the Kit lens to start with cause the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM Lens i wanted was sold out every where i looked and asked... so i guess i'll have to hold off on that lens till a little later...
Next item on the chopping block would be the speedlite...

If you got the funds for the 24-70 2.8, sell the kit lens that you have. Having
that 2.8 or faster is great for focusing and your view finder is not dark.

^ hahahah, no worries, a lot of people seem to miss that... but i'm going on holiday soon, so i'll probably try and see if i can get the lens while i'm away, although it'll probably cost a little more... but we'll see...
