Are you still offering food? Maybe something alive and wriggling will appease to it's tastes. I have yet to find a fish that rejects earthworms
That's a good suggestion Hendre. It's just IMO the issue is at least partly how aggressive the food competition is in the tank I'm keeping the Nodosus. Plus all the other fish are larger, most by 2 inches or more. I think I'm going to have to move him to one of my other tanks and see if that helps.
One thing I would suggest is airport to airport for any buyer as the less time traveling the better. Very sensitive fish. Difference was water temp was low at 70-71. I reduced the flow to a minimum in the tank and increased surface agitation to a max. Gonna do mummy best to keep nitrates really low. I do let it ride till 40 or so. I do have plants coming.
I did put salt into the tank. She's in the 125g and really loves it so far. Did that cause was seriously still stressed. Rapid breathing. Lights on and was active and inactive. Now doing better and settled in.
Will look at another tankmate for her. I have a feeling will do much better with groups or something to swim with it. The other smaller catfish was swimming with this big girl when I was deciding. Just some impressions

I agree I think this fish is easily intimidated/frightened. As it was Wes made me wait for mine because he wanted to make sure it was feeding well before sending it to me. Which to me means it was probably stressed with him as well from shipping etc. and needed some time to get comfortable.
I use Fedex but opt for pick up to minimize travel time. Airport is harder on me and depending on whose sending it sometimes just as hard on the fish. I've had vendors drop off a fish for delivery at the airport that isn't scheduled for a flight till the next day. That combined with delays I've experienced where a fish couldn't be transported on a designated flight because of other cargo and traffic that can take me up to 4 hours to fight to make the round trip and it's just not always viable for me.
I'm pretty good with Nitrates, I use a algae scrubber and change my water every 2-3 days. Though I do want to try floating plants to help create that cover I spoke of. Just trying to figure out how to contain them toward the back of the tank. Flow I believe I said earlier I actually increased and the fish seems most comfortable in it. Though again my fish just hovers in it only occasionally moving and even then it's usually to get out of another fishes way.
I think you're right they might benefit from some schooling fish if you can't have a school or them. I was thinking Silver Dollars. Always liked the Tiger Dollars or maybe some Clouded Archers. I may pick up that little Nodosus, saw Wes now has it up for sale.
Can I ask, what does you cat do kno4te? Does it stay close to the surface? Hover a lot? Or does it explore all areas? Does it ever rest?
Prisma is awesome, made some edits of your cat

More or less no change, Still close to the surface, still mostly just hovering in the out of a powerhead, still no poo, still not eating.
