Hi, I've got an oscar in a 200 gallon 6ft x 2ft x 2.5ft or something like that with a green terror, jack dempsey and a red terror. He is the biggest probably about 5 inches with the rest being like 4 inches and the green terror being like 2 inches. I just noticed him in the last 2 days twitching his side as if its irritated and then scratching on the bottom a few times with a fast burst but i only saw that once. Also he didn't eat anything this afternoon but did a long skinny poo that looked like a white/clear colour which was different from the normal which is whatever colour his pellets are usually. Im not sure if this is anything but some help would be good please i don't really want to lose him. The other fish are all happy and healthy looking, i saw the green terror do a little burst of speed scratching on the gravel but thats about it, the other fish are happy as ever.

tank salt and bump water temp up, im not positive thats what it is but everyone on here uses tank salt and temp raise for everything, you could try a uv sterilizer

Start with an epsom salt treatment. 1 full table spoon per 20gals. Leave for 3-4 days. Feed epsom saturated pellets to all the fish, daily and exclusively for 5 days after the tank treatment. No need to raise tank temp unless you have ich. Word of warning for the future.. if you have a true Festae in there, chances are very high it will eventually kill all the others.

just noticed one of his eyes is a little bit more extruded from his head than the other… did i get a messed up oscar?

Cloudy eye and or popeye, with parasitic infection. You have water quality problems. What is your water change schedule? Do you have water parameter readings? Ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. How long has this tank been up and running? What is the filtration?

Well, I don't because I checked them.. all the other fish are fine and I do a 25-30% water change every week, its been up and running for a few months all cycled and everything. I seriously think its just this oscar, all the other fish are fine and have been the whole time I've had them, the oscar is the newest addition. Filters are an aqua one nautilus 2700 and a Fluval 305. Ive been on this forum for awhile and been told every time my setup is fine.
