hiding places is a very good tip.

And take the loach out! There might be no problem, but as reported earlier on this board, some people had already problems with loaches and bichirs.

clown loaches are fine with bichirs as long as they're not small enough to eat.

They should be fine -Anne

You are right - it's looking a bit messy in there. The things on the gravel are pieces of shell which are sooooo difficult to remove. I will try to get them out. I need some kind of mini rake or seive to remove them - it's a work in progress! So far, Number1 is behaving.

Normally, tail nipping won't do much harm and is recoverable. There were very few cases that reported casualities from tail nipping among bichirs. Keep eyes on them. Btw, use fine mesh net to filter out those chips.

man aslong as they are not halfway down ones throat your fine, fins grow back and you definitly need more hiding places put in a piece of drift wood with a cave in it they will love it:WHOA: :naughty: :grinno: :grinyes: :headbang2 :clap :woot: :swear:
