Mornng guys and gals! Yesterday Jason post a vid that got me thinking, Would you wear contacts of glases? I'm asking this beacuse I was thinking of getting contacts, but after seeing the vid I'm having second thoughts!

if by "contacts of glasses" you mean contact lenses then yes i would and do wear them. the old hard style lenses are rarely seen now, in fact i was looking for permanent lenses rather than disposables and had trouble finding them. but i have been told off an optician friend that there are soft prmanent lenses these days but they arent seen for sale as often due to the popularity of disposables.
i have wore contacts since i was about 13 and im now 25 without issue. they also cant go around the back of your eye, as per the myth, as the eye socket creates a perfect seal which stops the lense going back.

and what vid pls post a link.

But don't you find them fiddly to put in, and I'll find that horrible vid later

after 12 years i would hope not. i can do it without a mirror now. when i first got them i struggled the first couple of times because i hated stuff touching my eyes, couldnt even face getting an eyelash out, but now i just clean my fingers to get that damn eyelash and go digging to get it without fuss. you become de-sensitised to it after a while.
if you get them remember to wash your hands at least 3 times after cutting chillies/onions/garlic. basically anything strongly acidic/alkaline or spicey. chilli really hurts even after washing hands twice.
they are far superior to glasses though. there is nothing stuck to your face that needs adjusting/cleaned/de-misted/washed. just a little lense you put in in the morning and take out and place in a small container with an all-in-one solution. no manual cleaning, steamed up lenses or adjustment if you do it right.

Now I'm starting to get the urge to buying some, in fact I closed down this site earlier and there was an advert for just these! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR THE ADVICE!

the optician will show you a technique for putting them in, i think its a standardised way. you will eventually figure out a way which is more comfortable to you.

remember to get the all in one solution.
i would strongly advise against the peroxide solution that needs to be neutralised by either a added part in the case or by adding another solution. it hurts like hell if the optician messes up and forgets to tell you they have given you hyd peroxide solution and forgot the special neutralising holders. you can go blind if your reactions arent fast enough, i got lucky.

I have wore contacts ever since I remember. I love them. Wouldn't go back to glasses on a full-time basis if you payed me.

I wear contact lenses, probably the best thing is when you go indoors on a winters day and your eyes DON'T steam up!

I'm with you all the way, about the rotten glasses! They just get on my nerves, falling off all the time! Whoever invented glasses should've made them better!

I'll be sure to get the all-in-one sort, I want to be able to do my cross-stitch!
