y'all wrecked his emo hissy fit. When he squealed that he was leaving forever and never coming back, you were supposed to sheepishly look at each other and wonder if someone should go after him to tell him you didn't really mean it and beg him to come back, while he was sulking right outside the door listening to hear what you said about him.

Honestly.

Well, judging by whats been said so far, it seems he'll kill his fish some how (whether intentionally or not i don't know), then he'll be onto snakes, and most probably the same thing will happen (they'll die), then from there who knows what he'll kill next...

Either way, i just hope for the sake of all the animals in the pet trade, he can't find anything he likes until hes actually ready to take care of them the way they're supposed to be taken care of...

Well first off i live on a ranch, And the water is REALLY REALLY REALLY bad. I had a dumb idea and pt it in the tank. Didn't test it, put fish in when my fish started dying i chose to test it. Finds out the test kit i got didn't test amonia. And they got "posioned" from what i got told. So i took the water out and put city water in it. They are fine swimming around eating just find. And jerzy i'm comited to many htings that you don't know about so lets drop the emo hissy fits crap and possibly not *** holes to each other.

here was your first mistake(see bolded/underlined text). if you didnt just put fish in there with the ammonia, your tank would have started cycling to convert that ammonia. and once your tests came up with 0ppm ammonia for that water you would have a cycled tank. but if your ammonia in that water is that bad, i cant imagine what nitrites, nitrates, ph, or phosphates would be. none of us dont want to help you succeed. take some of the advice without getting defensive, do things how people explain it and you will be successful at the hobby and be able to keep the same couple fish for years and years. having a good water source is key, but proper cycling/treating of the water before adding fish is most important. people are only acting the way they are towards you because of the effort you seem to put into this. saltwater is awesome to do, whether its a reef tank or just fish with live rock, you just need to put the effort and time into it. not to mention the money. hence the reason i got a second job, one to support me with rent, bills, saving to move and one to support my fish habit haha :headbang2

Ok i was aware of that. but my house water is BAD BAD BAD BAD! So i have the levels under constant watch and they are fine now. the ammonia is still about .5 though. I have ammonia clear and am working it down slowly but steady. So the water is fine and the fish are OK! So thanks jus85411. :0
