I'm thinking of building myself a 9foot by 8foot by 4foot (L x W x H) plywood tanks and was wondering if there would be some cool exotic fish that would fit and look amazing in it..would a pacu, redtail catfish, payara, rays, id shark, peacock bass ect work? What would you guys recommend

Thanks

Not an expert but im pretty sure the the red tail catfish wouldn't work . The catfish easily get 4 feet long at adult length, plenty big enough to devour pacus. And while the catfish could fit in a tank that size, it would be very cramped.

personally in a 9 foot long 8 foot wide aquarium I would have no problem putting a big catfish in there. I think your mix would work out. That's a 2100 gallon tank
