Something my dad told me in my early teenage years. "You will never get ahead working for someone else. You got to own your own business". Started my first business at 23 i'm in my 4th business currently.
those are some very wise words

"Go outside you loser"
"You're no fun."
"You are never going to pass you're road test"
I never really got much advise i can recall (i probably did) i like to say that i learned on my own

There's three quotes my dad always uses lol.
1. Go big or go home, this one seems to just get me to spend more money.
2. Be careful what you wish for
3. What's the worst that could happen they say no, this one helps with just asking people a question in general.

Reminds me of something else my dad would say. I was very shy growing up and he would tell me "I won't be around forever to talk to people for you, so you better start practicing."

"Everyone loves a clean house." He was in the Navy for 20 years and therefore runs a very tight ship. His house sparkles lol

"Never let anyone tell you that you can't do something. You can do anything you want, just go for it."

My dad has never been fond of any of my crushes and always uses the shotgun quotes, which I think are funny until I realize he's being serious.

"Stop aiming to disarm ... triple tap the heart."

"Don't worry about the oil, worry about how you throw the ball."

"Invest"

That about sums up all of it over 36 years thus far.

Id like to think he was. The more Ive aged and dealt with life situations the more it comes across how spot on everything he told me was. Now at 45 years of age with a daughter that turns 21 this month Ive tried my best to pass on that wisdom and live my life from many of the things he taught me that I was "Absent" from learning when I was younger.

Here is some others
Just remembering your dads words is enough to know that your dad had a powerful effect on you and your life with out you even realizing it... he left some of himself with you to pass on..
"Do everything in your life with a passion as its the last time you will do it. Live every minute to the fullest. Experience everything in life you could ever imagine. There are no do overs"

"A real man doesnt love a million women. A real man loves a single woman a million ways"

"Never start a fight with anyone you can win"

"The character of a person and what they are made of never comes out in good times. Hard times will show all and make you a better man"

Of course there are some VERY funny ones he gave me. I will have to see if I can clean them up. But there were also good advice to lol

My dad taught me that its not illegal til you get caught. And when you can't dazzle them with your brilliance, baffle them with your BS. Haha.

His catch phrase though is " this, too, shall pass." True words, those.
