My computer is infected. I bought spyware doctor and it removed a bunch of stuff and really sped up my computer, but there are still annoying pop-ups. Also, everytime i run the program, even if it is ten times in a row, it picks up a few new infections. Why is this? Is there some master file that keeps on creating new infections as soon as i wipe out the old ones? it's really annoying. plus, there is an icon on my taskbar that i know is some spyware, but there is no way for me to remove it, and i don't know what is is called for me to remove it manually from processes. What should i do to eliminate everything? HELP!!!

Reboot in safe and go to www.download.com AVG works very well.....Do you have two anti viruses downloaded to your PC Expired, or current? That could be doing it as well...Make sure you delete all anti virus programs before downloading AVG...Many people will say you can have more than one, I need them to make my computer take more than one myself...Hope any of this helps. Next time PM Rmorse, aqua, Li, or I and don't let all your biz on the streets...lmao. I'm on my way to a buddies "who does not look at porn", yet has a bad virus, to help him rid it....hahaha

bobby and li, i'm not even gonna justify those answers with a response. :p

thanks spizz :)

I keep the install files for a few different anti spyware programs on my pc, only one installed at a time. Mcafee works well until you get an infection. My experience with the free spyware programs is that each one will pick up different parts of a virus, but not the entire entry that is causing problems. I use spybot first because it seems to remove the majority and then I use spyware doctor and finish up with a registry scan with windows doctor all of which are available at www.download.com free of charge. Just remember to only have 1 antivirus program running and/or installed on your pc at a time.

Throw your computer into the washer.

Cleanspace, avast, spybot, and adaware. Run anything that you can in safe mode.

Avast has done wonders for my computer.
