the best thing to do is visit

www.techsupportforum.com

Go to the forum titled: HijackThis Log Help

This is the specific forum you need. I have used it twice and these dudes don't mess around. Follow the steps and post your results just like it says. You can't do better than this without shelling out $$

Running a Hijackthis always helps, provided you have someone to look at it. But even then, you can't always tell everything....

Oh. Yea, you're right. The viruses probably came from google, yahoo, or mfk.

only way to really get rid of is is back up some of your files (scan with antivirus first) then format.

now if you wanna search the internet and not have to worry about getting a virus/spyware/etc, look into the product called SandboxIE, its free. its 100% guaranteed to keep your computer safe.

No. That is one way to get every single virus off, and even then that is worse. Most times the virus is tagged onto a weird file. Scanning with the anti won't find it if he already did a scan and it did not find it the first time.

If the virus is on a weird file you need, and you have scanned your comp, and found nothing, moving that file onto a new harddrive and reformatting the comp, then moving the files back just deleted the easy/rookie viruses. The hard virus is still on your comp.

running everything now

well then its time to get a better antivirus.

Onion, PM me if what you run doesn't do the trick. I'll help you out. And as far as A/V software goes, NOD32 is the hands down BEST! It catches EVERYTHING, and removes EVERYTHING! You can take a screenshot of your hijack this log and post it here if you want, I'll help you get that thing cleared up....................then we'll talk about safe browsing habits :D
