Aequidens Diadema?

I keep a male with firemotuhs green terror4 jacks , geos all at around 3" with some other fish ive yet to see any aggression to tank mates. very shy fish doesnt like eating with the pack. kind of wait till the frenzy is over. mine eats flakes which i found surprising considering its wild caught i keep mine in about 78-80 degrees. i cant imagine mine holding its ground against my big guys yet. hes to much of a push over. all that being said.....can i have urs :P ? i got mine by dumb luck i doubt ill ever see more.

mine is around 10 or 11 inches and the boss of my tank. He has an attitude very similar to a jack dempsey, wont put up with any crap but doesn't go looking for fights. they dont have any visible teeth but have crazy bite force, I can squeeze a frozen cube of bloodworms as hard as I can and he still rips it outta my fingers every damn time.
while the color isnt spectacular when small, they get very nice looking when full grown.
very chill fish and not shy at all, actually makes it hard for me to get pics of any other fish because he is always at the front of the tank staring at me.
these guys are great fish, congratz.

It was my understanding diadema max out at about 5"...until now.

Just measured him, he is actually just a hair under 10 inches. When i first got him I did some research and read pretty much the same thing 5-6 inches.
Maybe my guy is a freak lol I don't know.

Nice fish!! Its got some really interesting patterns.

Thanks, like I was saying when they are small they are not that interesting to look at , probably why their cousin the green terror is so much more common/popular.
But once they start to hit adulthood and color up they look wicked with the weird squiggle pattern on the face and the slight irridescent green tint on the head and body.
Great pickup Dispatch.

Thanks guys! I'm super excited about them. Mine both measure in at 8" TL. I had won a trio but unfortunately one died shortly after I won the auction. Of course it was the best looking one too. I'll get pictures when the are a little less shy.
