The wafers I am feeding are Omega One. I might feed the Hikari veggie pellets though. So Hikari Excel is a good source of Veggies for them?
It's the only pellet that I know that has veggie stuff in it. Plus it's made by Hikari, can't go too wrong there.
if you want a good protein content and veggies as well then look at pellets usually found in discus shops/sites. i found an amazing array of pellets at a uk one http://www.discusessentials.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=34

Currently I'm feeding my cichlids Hikari Staple, Excel, Gold, Bio Gold Plus, and Algae Wafers. I hardly ever use the Gold pellets though. I've never been a big fan of food loaded w/ Astaxanthin or other color enhancers. Seem's unhealthy and risky IMHO.
I've never used any other brands besides Hikari but I'm open to NLS and Omega One. I'll check them out next time.
I use Cichlid staple from hikari and a beef heart a day.....sometimes a beef heart a day..most of time I use hikari cichlid staple
Mine didnt like the night crawlers, trout worms he loved though...Beef heart is full of crude protein
