Afer Knife Fish Aggression

Your asking for more trouble with a red devil imo, very unlikely it would be peaceful whoever wins. Although considering my lenticulata pike in that video is considered one of the most aggressive cichlids I doubt a red devil would fair much better.
I would consider a large ripsaw or irwini?
RTC will be 16" and will eat them within 6 months, sell it fast or it will make your mind up for you. What dimensions is your tank btw?

Just get something that massively out sizes them and won't eat them, it might keep em in check:-)
