Is there such a thing. Was just wondering what was the least expensive way to feed these guys. Right now mine are eating frozen krill at 12.99 for a big pack. Night crawlers buying buy the dozen and some frozen silver sides. I dont mind feeding them but maybe im on the expensive side of it and there is another side to it that im missing. Ive got four motoros and they eat like horses. Im feeding them twice a day and they eat like MONSTERS. Was just looking for a little insight on this topic. Thanks

i buy my whitebait and prawns from an asian market at the end of my street.
it make feeding all my fish fairly cheap.
its about £20 so $40 a month.

If you have a gordon food service store in your area, you can get frozen smelt in a 5kg box (11 pounds) for $34.99. They special order it but it only takes a day to come in.

There was a zoo keeper in my city whose rays were the same age as mine but double the size. I asked him how he got his rays so big...He said a combination of minnows and nightcrawlers. I was already up on the nightcrawlers but I started feeding mines minnows as well...they grew more rapidly. You can get minnows from most bait and tackle or hardware stores for like 12 for a dollar and they usually don't count so you can get lots more. Just make sure u quarantine them and/or freeze them for at least 24 hours before feeding them to your rays. Though I would still mix up their diet for balanced nutrition, the minnows were the cheapest way for me.

I get smelt by the case. 12 - 1lb bags for 23.00 or so. cheaper food is out there you just have to search it out and make friends and buy in bulk.
