50/50 is the best ive ever used. right now im using "aquarium bulbs" made by philips. i got em at home depot for 10 bucks haha

LOL i use the exact same bulbs ! i have a hanging flourescent fixture to illuminate the tank and whle getting the fixture im like HEY 7 BUCKS FOR AN AQUARIUM BULB HOLY CRAP and they have a nice puple glow which im a fan of

i couldnt find the $10 bulbs so I went to petsmart and spent $45 on a 50/50 and a sunglo (they only had one of each in the right size). thanks for your help guys.

after having planted tanks with t5, i almost cant stand regular flourscent fixture because there so dull.

try replacing the fuse in your light fixture or buy the lights i suggested

is the wattage on the bulb the same, check to make sure that the connections where the bulb connects are not corroded, try switching the bulbs around and see if it's the fixture or that bulb, if the 50/50 still flickers after you switch them around and the wattage is correct the it's just a bad bulb.
