With regards to their temperments, they are very docile. Never bothers anyone. They can be kept in small groups when they are bigger. Some members here keep 2 or 3 together with no problems. As for my plans, I am just planning to grow them out and then sell them to other members so they can also experience having an African Arowana for themselves.

Very good, Aquafan! Thoughtful of you to get the afro. aros past their most crucial stage of their lives... for others to enjoy & keep this uncommon fish sp. I just may have to pre-order one from you!!

They max at a reported 38" but according to my reading are usually smaller.

a friend had these many years ago and even at 24" long still fed them live brine shrimp and mysis shrimp as well. He did see some seasonal aggression between the males.
Absolutely fabulous fish. Out of curiosity, what did they cost?
Although I have never had the room for arowana the africans are my favorite.
