IN YOUR HEAD
these fish are feakin sweat! i never really liked them then i saw one in person that was 14". i thought at the time it might be cool. then a few weeks ago a lfs by me got some in at 2". i wanted to buy one, but passed cause i know they can be tricky at that size. then yesterday i saw they still had some and they were 4". they were eating well so i got one. now after having it for these 2 days i just can't get enough of it!

all the nonstop action from this extremely active fish is awesome, everything from its interacting with my gar grow outs to the way it filter feeds, all just sweet! i can't believe i waited this long to get one! anyone on the fence should jump at the chance to get one!

i will get some pics/vid up with in the next day or so. :headbang2

thanks kaya i will! if you see any around your area get one to go in your pond you wont be let down!

i will have some pics and vids up as soon as my brother gets back with his phone. it takes better vids/pics then my phone does. i don't have a working digital camera right now so that will have to do. they are not bad vids. check out my update thread in the media lounge for an example.

Be careful with your afro. They can be delicate at smaller sizes.

it is 4" and with some small florida gar 5-7" or so. i am keeping an eye on it. they are in a 20gal so i can be sure it is eating. after that it will go into a 55gal then off to the big tank when able.

These African Aros grow extremely fast! Enjoy keeping your African Aro! :)

sweet! maybe i can get a record growth on an afro like i did/do with my silvers...this looks to be an exciting fish to have in my tanks! you still got yours hao?

Nah. They grow too fast and eat way too much. :P If I were to keep another one. I would keep it for life. But I would want a 3 ft wide tank before getting another one.
