I learned the hard way to keep a constant supply of food. I knew it wasn't getting fed enough because when I'd put bloodworms in, they would get sucked up in the filter, so I was going to get another sponge filter so the bloodworms wouldn't get sucked into the filter the next day and I woke up in the morning to a dead fish...poor timing. I got it from Fish Den and asked them a few weeks ago about getting more in since that's where I got mine from, but they said they didn't know if they would get more in and to just keep checking back, but they were only about 3 inches when I got mine. Also, Toyin usually only gets smaller ones. With all the interest lately, as Brian said, vendors are bound to track some down and offer them, I just hope that happens.

I hope so too. I've been dying to get a african aro for awhile I keep my eyes open and if I see them I'll let you know. I'd appreciate it if you did the same for me.

The young ones seem to be offered seasonally, usually late-spring. If you look back a few months ago several vendors were offering them. I imagine that they sell quick since people buy multiples since young ones are so fragile and die-offs are common.

I would say next year you will see another bloom of them, otherwise keep looking in the nooks and crannies and you may find a big one for sale by a private keeper.
