Only reason I call them Afro is because it's some sort of Abbreviation of the African for some reason. Sorry if I was sounding racist. I hate racism and all. But can we think of the hairstyle when I say it?
Also, does the specialized diet prove an obstacle with comming with other monsters? I've heard of comms with Black Aros, Arapaimas, Dats, and Gars. Also seen a pic of one comming with a Lei.

Mine was 2 foot and although I usually didnt put feeders in that tank, there were times when I did, and they were pretty much ignored by my african aro

No problem feeding because he pretty much ate pellets, while the others ate MP.After reading this I tried feeding my African guppies they'd chase them around, when they caught them they spit them right out, having no luck with pellets either. They love live and frozen worms

What kind/brand of pellets are you using?
