hey all,
i just did a water change and minutes afterwards, my ABKs started facing each other, side by side and started wiggling side by side while constantly opening and closing their mouths. do you know if this is some kind of mating dance or something?

i understand it's fairly difficult to breed them in captivity and details are pretty limited about this, but hopefully someone will be able to help me.

pictures are uploading form my camera as i type this and i'll load them when they are done, and i'll add a video when i figure out how to do that.

thanks!

Looks like they are having a territorial dispute, too small to breed.

hm... interesting, so your ABKs did this over territory?

It is merely an assumption based on the size of those two, they are looking rather small to be breeding. I had two ghosts in a 75 for awhile when a friend left the hobby, they'd squabble in a manner similar to this.

From your signature, are you keeping a total of four knives in a 55?

If I am not mistaken African ones don't get as large as the other species.
