Mine just loves flakes. he sometimes gets freaked out when we put them in.

Make sure that every single little hole is covered. I have lost several because of holes I did not think they could jump through. no surface current with some duck weed and they will be happy. Night feeders so def. get some blue LED so you can watch the feast!

The one I have will eat the floating pellets I use to feed my other fish, at first I gave it some small crickets to eat(from my gecko) ,other than that, I didn't think it was eating much at all, but 3 months later I have actually seen it eat the floating pellets ! Maybe I am just lucky? Is there any harm in feeding these pellets exclusively?
