If you want sand that will not kill your filters get pool filter sand best stuff. Be sure it is the larger grade size and not play sand fine. I have it in 40 tanks.

Would like to post pics on here but have no idea how. 
I'm computer illiterate, and my teen kids cannot figure it out either. If someone would explain, step by step, which controls or pages to go to, maybe we can figure it out? HELP would be MUCH appreciated!

Going to use the black extra fine sand. And for the person who said that sand is messy, : during the bi-weekly 'vaccuming' I normally turn off the filters then wait 2 min. or so for most stuff to settle, then turn back on asap. And weekly I take apart the water filter bottom part to clean out anything (hair, cat fur, pieces of plants, etc.) that's in the compartment with the impeller. No problems so far.
Black sand is very cool. I have the fine white sand and rarely have of problem with it getting into the filters and my intakes are about 2 - 3"" above the sand.
