I have a 55 gallon with 10 2-2.5 in african chiclids. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for any cool odd, or just cool creatures that I could put in the tank with them. That wouldnt eat my fish and that the fish wouldnt eat? Any ideas?

Thanx

What kind of africans? I just got a M. Plagiostoma Eel (eanded Tang eel), so far the eel and my haps/peacocks are all getting along well.

I know I have a peacock, a hap, a red zebra, and im not really sure what the other ones are they just said mixed africans where I bought them. Also to fishfobia how small would a quarter sized red eared slider stay in the 55 with them. How much did you pay for that eel?

Too much lol. I got it from cichlids.net, it was $47 plus shipping, they also have M. Elipsifer (Leopard tang eel) for $33 plus shipping.

I want to get an eel (Leopard tang eel), and I was wondering if a approcot or blue lobster, and maybe a red eared slider will live fine in my tank. Also I know redtail catfish get huge but do you think that he or maybe a shovelnose will live fine in there until they get too big? Also do you know of any good deals on a 125 gallon tank with the stand and everything, I want to upgrade to a 125?

I wouldn't get a blue lobster. He might eat your fish. I wouldn't get a turtle. They get 10" across and will eat your fish and lobster. Definately don't get a redtail. They get too big, too fast, and even at 4" its big enough to eat most of what you have. I also wouldn't get a shovelnose. That too will eat your fish. Go with the eel. It's the safest bet.
