airight i will do that. my tank temp is about 79 F . how warm does it have to be. i wanted to try to breed the ylabs and about the tubes and pots and rocks. i dont really have that much more space since it is only a 55g.
(what do you mean by tubes) do you mean like pipes.
temp isn't much of a factor. And I would strongly suggest against breeding yellow labs. Well assuming you ever want to get rid of them. (They are extremely easy to breed, just get a male and female together in the tank, and soon you will have a holding female, and then sooner than you know you will be cursing how fast these fish reproduce.)
If you are actually trying to breed and plan to keep only a few, I really would suggest getting say 1 male Lwanda and 2-3 females. Or get some other type of peacocks that always sell quickly.
Remember with breeding especially with say yellow labs you will quickly run out of tank space. IE if you breed yellow labs and actually let the fry live you will quickly have likely ~100 yellow labs. I mean I have what 1 female in a 135 tanks with 4 males when I started the tank has a ton of fish that eat fry. Now I have a good 20-30 yellow labs surviving...
Plus the yellow labs weren't f1/f2 or of any known purity so I can't even sell them...
And they are saying tubes and pots since they are often cheaper than rocks. Just make the tank have enough hiding spaces and you will be fine. Honestly with any of the fish you will pick you really just need say 1 male and 2-3 females and you will have all the babies you could want in the next couple months. (And then even more ever 1-2 months from then on...)
thanks. i will fine a peacock that i like and i will breed them instead.
which type of peacock do you suggest i should get i was thinking of geting some yellow peacock cichlids.
Another questions, can a firemouth Cichlids live my AC
