I have a 75 gallon set up and running with extra filtration already but I'm tired of the fish I have in it. Was thinking of maybe going to African cichlids, but I want to keep the clown loaches I have. Would I be able to do that , I don't know much about African cichlids but I've been keeping SA cichlids for the past 5 years . Thanks for your help

I have a school of 6 clown loaches that I got when they were 2" living with different types of African cichlids that ranged up to 6" big in my 125. Never had a problem.

I also had 4 CL's with about 2 dozen africans....never a problem. In fact, my loaches ran the tank.

I too mix them no issues they are good fish to mix.

Just give them cover like PVC pipe to feel secure and they will be fine I have them with my aulunacara and other malawi fish but with mbunas they get nipped on because of the mbunas territorial aggression also the clown loaches are scaleless and can't take to many hits .
