African cichlids planning

I agree with the others, unless you can do a 6 ft tank, best to stick to the smaller species.
Most cichlids go thru territorial phases that only become apparent after some time, when chaos breaks out.
Most available info does not get into this, and is almost impossible to predict in multi species tanks.
Nimochromis, all get too big for a 55, but even certain smallish species may find a 55 cramped.

I had a great long lasting colony of de-masoni in a 55 , but they were the only species in the tank, others (even larger species) were easily vanquished by the colony

I post photos , to show personal experience, nothing else.
And fish looks can be deceiving, the lepidiolamprologus below was quite benign with others, unless the other fish fit in its jaws

Agree with the others, and I have many years experience with African cichlids, and all male tanks. It’s a never ending balancing act, even in larger footprints than your 90. Even in a local buddy’s 300 gallon, some males would become hyper dominant over time. A 90 gallon is not a good fit, for any of the larger more boisterous haps.

OK maybe i was over simplifying it. I understand they're aggressive and there's a hierarchy and no one can promise what fish will or won't work in a community like that. I know there's always a chance some fish will have to be rehomed. I was just looking for suggestions on what's worked for others and to get some ideas to head in the right direction. I appreciate everyones feedback. Maybe I'll just start with some peacocks and small to medium haps.

I do have a question on prazipro. My lfs suggests a pretreat prazi bath during acclimation. Does anyone else do this? And at what concentration? They suggested 5 to 7 drops in 1.5 gallons of water for an hour before netting the fish out and adding to the tank. The bottle only has directions for 20 gallons and up.

Thanks again for all the feedback.
