Nevermind, it's not about the dollar value of Central Americans that attracts me. It's the size, personality and attitude. I don't think there's anything wrong with you liking africans better, it's all personal preference. To each they're own. Who cares what they cost? If you like them, you like them. Right?
I used to be in love with Americans. I sold my 4 inch male Festae for 250. As I said, I dont have much money so what I buy is little.
one fish for 300 is crazy. i wish i could have a fish worth so much. Central Americans are cool when i get my 120g i will get them.

Hi isrealm I got your PM, sorry I didn't get back to you. Most people wouldn't pay that much and IMO he wasn't worth that much. I wasn't trying to sell him though, a guy really wanted him and was willing to pay the money to have something he really liked and have it on the spot. I would say $100-$150 would be a more realistic value. He was a flawless beautiful fish and I miss him. The good news is I'm growing out some of his fry so I get to raise another one. I'll keep my favorite of the bunch.
