African Clawed Frog

Hi, just got some of these frogs from my lfs and I was thinking that they didn't need land but when I bought them the young lad at the lfs told me they need a 50/50 of land and water...?
Is this true, should I be giving them some land?

No, all water for them.

no land needed i have one in my tank there pretty fun once the get to know you mine gets confused between my finger and food

Had one one time in a planted tank grew about as big as my fist. Lots of fun to feed goldfish to when they get a little bigger

they don't need land at all...might be among the most amusing animals that can be kept in an aquarium...their antics are unmatched.

they are adorable


They are surface breathers, so don't keep them in too deep of a tank. I also used to keep floating plants in the tank with mine so they could lounge out on them. They are very rewarding critters to keep!
