They are surface breathers, so don't keep them in too deep of a tank. I also used to keep floating plants in the tank with mine so they could lounge out on them. They are very rewarding critters to keep!
I kept one in my 125 gallon tank full to the top and never noticed any issues with the frog reaching the top...it would also come up to eat pellet from the surface, don't think water depth is an issue
