Why would you have water sitting out all of the time?

Depending on the size of the tank, atleast one bucket of water should be left out. I have like 3 buckets in my room full of water at all times for water chages for my fish. You shouldn't use a filter for these frogs, just do frequent water changes. Yes you can feed them in the same place and they will learn where to go to get food.

Why not use a filter?

Because theyre dwarf frogs..nasty things happen with dwarf frogs and filters.

Not only that. I was reading that underwater frogs have very sensitive skin/sensory organs and having any type of flowing water is like a constant jack hammer going on all the time. Its healthyer long term not to have a filter. These frogs are made for stagnant water and thats hw they should be kept.

Did you read that here: http://aquaticfrogs.tripod.com/id13.html. That refers to internal air driven filters which will produce lots of vibration. I use an Azoo Palm Filter, really small and quiet. It doesn't create enough current to bother the frogs and they certainly won't get stuck to the intake.

lol, the water, well if I have to change 90 % of the water every few days....Don't you have to let it sit out for about 24 hours to get to room temperature so you don't shock the little guys? I have gallon jugs that I bought distilled water in...can I just put tap water in them and let it sit for 24 hours? Does that remove the chlorine, I though I had read somewhere that to get rid of the harmful stuff in water you could either boil it or let it sit for 24 hours.
BTW, the 2 frogs I bought died. I kept them in a seperate container up until a few days ago. They molted and then had no spots, so I thought they were healthy. I put them in the tank with my other frog and yesterday they were dead! :( I am so lost...I really like these guys and my kids love to watch them, but I want to make sure I keep them healthy. We are down to 1 now, once i figure out what I am doing right/wrong I plan on getting more.

NEW QUESTION : I am feeding my little frog freeze dried blood worms, I don't want to switch, unless necessary, because I paid 20 bucks for a large container. The problem is that they float and I though the frogs liked to eat things on the bottom of the tank. Eventually they fall down to the bottom. I had read somewhere about putting the food in a certain place every time so the frogs know where to look, how do I do that when they float all over the place? Is there a certain container i should use in the tank to feed it in?
