african knife tankmates

At what size would you suggest I transfer the bichir into the cichlid tank? The ghost is doing great with the oscars. I think my 7 yr old daughter would be pretty mad if that bichir starts gobbling her fish.lol I dont want to hear her saying "I told you SO Daddy"lol
 
It's hard to say, but I would remove the Bichir once the Guppies are half it's size.
 
Throw some ghost shrimp in with the knife, he'll forget all about free swimmers. Had a knife that wouldn't eat anything BUT ghosties once I gave him some. Had some huge whiteclouds(well, for whiteclouds) that started out teeny in his tank, they'd swim fearlessly in front of him. Annoyed me. Perfectly good, healthy feeders and he wasn't interested.

ghost shrimp cost a lot where I live $1.49 ( crazy huh?) Id hate to be in that perdicament Im actually hoping he eats the barbs One of these days I hope. Ghost Shrimp are 40 cents at Petsmart but thats an hour and a half away. I live in the boonies
 
the BGK is doing great with the oscars and the AKF seems fine with the other cichlids noboby bothers him.THanks again
