after i up my ck and gg to a bigger tank. i going to do an african themed tank the stock i plan to keep are all good exaples of tank mates for a brown knife. here gos, 1 brown knife,1 osso knife,10 congo tetras, 2 african butterfly fish, 2 african leaf fish,5 upside down cats or glass cats. all of these would make good tank mates for your brown knife+
yeah i might go with BGK instead...

I'd get the african. I'd also get a synodontis cat instead of the lima. If you look there are a lot of color options for them (the catfish) and even if someone in your tank gets aggressive, they can hold their own pretty well. Mine held up to two 12" oscars. As far as the knife situation, the african tends to be a little tougher than the bgk, just in case your ebjd gets a bit territorial.;)

ok well i am going to get another fish instead of a knife fish.. :D

If you go with an African Knifefish be careful about making sure it is healthy... For whatever reason the ones i see seem to frequently be sick when imported, usually with some sort of parasite. Just make sure the LFS has had him for a while and it looks healthy (on CLOSE inspection) and is eating. Cool fish!
