Any help would be great

That looks like his slime coat coming off to me. Give us some water parameters and someone might have some advice. Does it have any tankmates? What is it's diet? I would do a massive water change and maybe raise the temperature. Add some non-iodized salt.

Hey sorry I don't know any of his water conditions
Ill send him your questions and let you know
As far as I know it's in a tank alone
Do lungfish not like salt?
And I herd they can react to melafix?

What does fine mean? Ammonia? Nitrite? Nitrate? Ph? Water change interval? What does he feed it? We just want to help.

Fine means that's the answer he gave me, it's not like either of us are new to keeping fish we've just never seen this type of thing before and we know lungfish don't like certain chemicals so we arnt shure what to use?
It's actually at his parents house and they are looking after it for the time being,
He just MSG me and said the heater has been turned off and it's been rather cold lately so that would be why this has happend
So now It's more of a question as to has anyone ever had this on thier lungfish and what did they do if so.

No - never seen it on a lungfish. They're tough as heck so something must be off for it to break down like that.

How cold was the water? Did you turn it back on?

I'd still do a water change (or three)... can't hurt.

I would get actual numbers on the water perameters. I would venture to guess the water is not fine. That looks like really bad ammonia burn. If not that then coulmnarus but I would bet on Ammonia. I would do several 25% water changes. Premix (disolve) 1 tablespoon of salt per 10 gallons of water in a container and add to the tank it will stimulate production of the slime coat, help with healing and releave some of the toxic effects of ammonia by improving gill function. If it should be columinarus the cool water and salt will slow it's progression until we can get some soild numers and go from there. Test before the water change to get a soild base line to work from.
