It begins to leach right away max 24 hours . If you let it soak couple days and see nothing than its possible it will not leach might be it has been used in tank already?

I have always had it leach within 24 hours the most. If by some weird chance it does not leach while you soak it but does in your tank which I can't fathom .
You have nothing to worry about as it wont bother fish . However that would be a very unsual thing .
You could always rinse it under hot water than place it back to soak and if no leaching it won't leach in your tank.
It is unsual for new mopani not to leach unless its been used in someones tank already.
