African or Australian?

I bought the last one from the last shipment to the US. I think Canada has gotten some more recent shipments but not the US. My guy is 30" now and super cool. I'm so happy i got it!

Africans can be nasty. I had one, bit some oscars while in a 40breeder with them then I moved it to my main tank months later after being in its own 90gallon for a while. It left my ray, polys and marbled achara cat alone. I got paranoid it would turn on someone and sold it.

I SOOOOO want a Aussie tho...... 500 seems worth it if the colors are nice IMO but I'm sure retail would increase that a few times over....

even for us aussies to own one of these is extremely difficult, fully protected etc need to know the right people and have the $$$$

Some of the first pics I took of the little guy. It's right at 20". I can't believe how big it's gotten! Thanks for asking I've had it 3 years now, not sure if I said that in the previous post.

Edit: I tried to get a pic in the same location. The black tower is an 8" square overflow for reference.

you can get microchipped lungfish from australian breeeder farm, you just need to check your local law.

Africans all the way put a few small fish in an by morning youl have no small fish left. aggressive is the wrong word id say they eat like a dyson Hoover 'never loose suction' no fish is safe with them if they are small my 16 inch pango lost half his tail an my angel fish was cut in half my silver shark was DECAPITATED!!
