  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Dennis is alright now! He was a bit shaky when he swims but he's back off the ground and I'm expecting full recovery! Good thing I made it home to put him back in the water when I did! Thanks for the information everybody.

I'm so happy for you that he made it man!!!! I know exactly how you feel, I am going through a serious medical pet situation right now myself too. I posted about it in the lounge. do you happen to know his Latin name? after hearing his story and seeing his picture I really want to get one, they are some bad ass fish!!

Methylene Blue is for Fungus....very helpful when artificially raising eggs, as it helps prevent the white fungus that often destroys eggs...You are thinking of Malachite Green, the most common active ingredient in Ich Cures.

Not being confrontational, just helping....

If it were my fish I would turn off all lights, and if he has any external damage, which it appears he does, add some salt, I think its like a TBSP for every 5 gallons, might want to check this because it may be TSP or TBSP.... Also possibly raise the water temperate to 82" to help prevent infection...goodluck with the fish!

EDIT: I would not use the Methylene blue, as it will kill your BB load, and the draw backs of that just are not worth it.
