Also I used to have one red tail payara and a FATF in a 240 for a long time. They grew up together and eventually after a couple of years the FATF took out the eyes of the payara (don’t know exactly how it happened though). I had to euthanize it unfortunately.

I agree with the others that have stated fatf or red tail payara (Hydrolycus tatauaia or tat).

Hydrolycus scomberoides (scomb) is another viable "silver tooth fish" option for you, though a lot of people are very against them for some reason I can't understand. I had a scomb and a tat living together well for years when I loved in Missouri. Both were good fish that ate jumbo carnisticks readily.

Fatf would work well, but the tank would need to be somewhat specialized to the fatf's needs, and I never advocate for mixing ATF with similar silvery fish unless the tank is huge, due to the ease with which atf can utterly maim their tankmates.
