From my understand, they take forever to grow! Even in such a large tank.
absoulty not!
These things can grow up to an inch a week if you feed them properly. I've got mine down to an inch every 1-2 months. I've only had mine for 3 months I got him at 3" hes about 6" now and I am realizing that I'm going to need at least 600 gallons to keep this guy for a few years. And even then he will grow out of that tank. They need a large footprint tank as they are strong swimmers. So a 9x9 tank is not unreasonable. At min I would say 9X4X2 would house it for a while. it will still be cramped turning for a fullgrown tiger however. So a 9lx 6wx 2h would be a better foot print. for a fullgrown one. MINIMUM. they really should be housed in 2000+ gallon pools or large zoo tanks.

they range. from as low as 60bucks for a 3" to 200. depending on where you get them.
6" go for about 300 and up from there. Ive not seen one larger then 3" for sale in a pet store.
